Crown Prince Philippe & Princess Mathilde presided a 9 day trade visit to the USA, visiting New York from 22 to 26 June, Washington from 26 to 29 June and Boston from 29 to 30 June. They headed a delegation of 300 business people. They were accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Steven Vanackere and Walloon Minsiter of Economy, Jean-Claude Marcourt.

Visit to Ground Zero, New York.
Princess Mathilde hosted a breakfast meeting with young Belgians residing and working in
New York City at Belgian chain Le Pain Quotidian in Central Park.
In the evening there was a signing ceremony at The Waldorf Astoria.

Princess Mathilde had a breakfast meeting on humanitarian themes at the Pierre Hotel in Manhattan.
Then she made a visit to the Tapestry Conservation Department of the Metropolitan Museum.
... and to the synagogue of New York.
In the evening Mathilde & Philippe attended a concert at the Flanders House in New York.

Princess Mathilde visited the Jeanne Jugan Residence of the Order of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Washington.
She also attended a reading to children in the Whittal Pavilion at the Library of Congress, before making a tour of the Library of Congress with Philippe.
