Queen Mathilde's sister was one of the guests at the Brasilian embassy in Brussels for Exuberancia Tropical's opening night. The works were made by Princess Maria Gabriela Orléans e Bragança ("Lelli") & her sister Princess Maria Teresa Orléans e Bragança ("Rezi").

Queen Mathilde attended piano, cello and jazz-saxophone masterclasses during a visit to the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.



Several teachers at the Conservatoire Royal are former laureates of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, which will be dedicated to piano music this year.

As SDG advocate for the UN, Queen Mathilde attended an event aimed at business schools and universities, on raising future generations and developing new business models in a sustainable manner, for a world coping with climate change and limited natural resources.


After giving a speech and participating in the debate, Mathilde met with students, teachers and CEOs.

Mass for Deceased Family Members 2020

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde attended the annual mass for deceased members of the royal family, at the Notre Dame church of Laeken.









They were joined by former King Albert II & former Queen Paola.





"There's a lot of wind today!"
"My hands are cold. When I shake your hand, you warm me up!" is what Mathilde actually says.
