Queen Mathilde was in Aarschot to attend a concert by girls choir "Scala" that celebrates its 20 years of existence.

According to its founders, Stijn and Steven Kolacny, queen Mathilde is a fan. The choir performed at princess Elisabeth's baptism in 2001.

They were also asked to perform at last year's autumn concert at the royal palace. Queen Mathilde told them she was sorry not to be able to attend their concert on April 2nd because she would be on a skiing trip with the rest of the family. Stijn Kolacny informed her more concerts would follow. A few months later they received an e-mail from court, telling them the queen would like to be present at their show.
