Gabriel Gets Sworn in as Officer

Prince Gabriel (22) and his fellow students who earned their bachelor's degree in Social and Military Sciences were sworn in as Officers in front of King Philippe.

Queen Mathilde and Princess Eléonore were also among the audience. The fact that Prince Emmanuel wasn't present may point to the fact that he's taken the "European track" when it comes to his studies in International Business Management. That means he's studying in either Spain, Colombia, Finland or Hungary this year. (I'd put my money on Spain).

Eléonore was wearing an Armani jacket.

Gabriel swore "Loyalty to the King, obedience to the Constitution and the laws of the Belgian people" just like his older sister Elisabeth did before him.

Prince Gabriel will be starting his final, fourth year at the Royal Military Academy on 9 October 2025 which will lead to a Master's Degree in Social and Military Sciences.

Ahead of the ceremony, Belgian court shared these images of the Prince during his training.

During his Erasmus at Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan he obtained his parachute certificate after three weeks of training at the Ecole des troupes aéroportées in Pau.

Gabriel also took part in an intensive two-week programme at the Centre d’Entraînement en Forêt équatoriale in French Guyana, a demanding boot camp in which participants are trained in jungle survival and combat techniques.
