Princess Mathilde made a visit to her home town Bastogne where the 50th anniversary of Unicef Belgium was celebrated.
It was also the occasion for Frans Medaer to meet the princess. At the end of 1998 Medaer had written a "message for a better world". Since then he's tried to get his message across to as many people as possible. He had the chance to present his project to Princess Mathilde during her visit to Bastogne.
In 2018 Frans Medaer received Her Majesty's congratulations on the 800 different translations of his message, the numerous conferences he's given relating his idea for peace, and the journey he's undertaken in the past 20 years.
