Informal Summit of German Speaking Countries 2018

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde participated in the annual informal meeting of heads of state of the German speaking countries. This year's meeting took place at Sils Maria, Switzerland.

Official welcome by President Alain Berset and his wife, Muriel Zeender Berset.

At night the heads of state had dinner together.

While the heads of state were at a meeting discussing the importance of culture as a means of integration, the spouses visited the Nietzsche House Museum.

Then a carriage took the ladies to the Fex Valley where they visited the 15th century Sankt Margaretha chapel.

The whole party got together again for the final activity of this meeting, a theatre performance at the Origen Tower at the Col du Julier.
