Vice-Admiral Pierre Warnauts is the Chef de Protocole (Master of Ceremony) at Belgian court.
He's been working for Belgian court since 1989 when he was appointed by king Boudewijn as ordonnance officer. Later he occupied the same position under king Albert II's reign, before being promoted to chef de protocole.
In 2013 he was newly appointed in his function by king Philippe.
Warnauts is present at all the major activities in Belgium and abroad, deciding on the practical side of meetings and events, coordinating state visits and deciding who's seated next to whom.
Over the years he seems to have become close to the members of the royal family.
Warnauts is expected to retire at the end of the year.
