King Philippe arrived in London by Eurostar. Queen Mathilde had arrived a day earlier to spend time with Princess Elisabeth. 

King Philippe & Crown Princess Elisabeth (21) attended the reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of the Coronation.

Elisabeth was wearing a new dress by Giorgio Armani, combined with her mother's clutch and diamond earrings. She was wearing her Aquazzura pumps.

Queen Camilla was crowned with Queen Mary's crown, made in 1911.

The King wore the Lesser George, an eighteenth-century badge, encrusted with diamonds, which was also worn by King George V and King George VI for their coronations in 1911 and 1937.

Visit to West-Flanders

4 May 2023

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde started their provincial visit at international media group Roularta in Roeselare.

Second stop was the fire station "Post Belgiek" in Deerlijk where they had a tour of the premises and a round table discussion with the mayors of Deerlijk and Anzegem, the local fire captain and volunteers. 

The visit ended at the town hall of Deerlijk where the royal couple met the public.
