The crown princess had to take part in an entrance exam, which she passed, just like 11 other Belgian students who will also join the school.

Before this, crown princess Elisabeth studied for 5 years at the secondary school of the Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege in Brussels. So far, her entire official schooling was in Dutch. She speaks French at home and has learned English at school and through media. Elisabeth is also fluent in German, via private classes.

Apart from receiving excellent academic schooling, the students at Atlantic College do volunteer work and have lots of different activities to chose from. Among the alumni of the school are Dutch king Willem-Alexander and Canadian astronaut & governor-general Julie Payette.

A very insightful article written by an alumnus of the Atlantic College.
