On their provincial visit, King Philippe & Queen Mathilde first visited the town Niel. At the University of Antwerp Science Park they visited various companies whose common denominator is a focus on health and environmental research.
Afterwards the royal couple visited Bornem, where they took the time to greet the population at the market square.

The visit ended with a private lunch at the castle of Hingene, in the company of the mayor of Bornem, Greet de bruyn, and the governor of the province, Cathy Berx.
