Flashback: UN Children Summit

Princess Mathilde accompanied a group of Belgian teenagers to a three day UN Special Summit on Children's Rights in New York. This was Mathilde's first solo visit abroad. Up untill then she had always been accompanied by her husband when performing activities outside Belgium.

In the evening Mathilde attended a cocktail party for the King Baudouin Foundation.

The visit was followed by a debriefing at the Belgian senate with Mathilde and the children who participated in the UN Special Session.
