Emergency Victim Assistance

On the day of her 26th wedding anniversary, Queen Mathilde was out and about for a public activitity. She visited the Emergency Victim Assistance (EVA) of the Brussels police in Ixelles.

EVA was founded 5 years ago and is a special department for police officers who specialize in providing help to victims of sexual and/or domestic violence.

Visit to Brabant Wallon

The King & Queen made a visit to CAP Innove in Nivelles, that supports start ups who center around sustainibility and food. The local provincial sustainability plan (BW2030) was also presented to them.

Here they were met by Mathilde's brother-in-law, Nicolas Janssen, who's the administrator of Cap Innove.

Next the Royal Couple went to La Hulpe to visit the Royale Amicale des Corps de Sauvetage, an ambulance service that is staffed for 80 % with volunteers. They help out in crisis situations.

The day ended with a walkabout in La Hulpe.
