Queen Mathilde visited Hasselt to discuss the issue of domestic violence.
The Queen first visited the Limburg Public Prosecutor's Office. There, she met with magistrates, lawyers, and criminologists responsible for the judicial follow-up of this type of crime. She also spoke with staff from the Victim Support Service of the Flemish Agency for Justice and Enforcement.
Queen Mathilde then visited the "Safe House." This center helps victims of domestic violence by offering them guidance and support. Together with the Public Prosecutor's Office and the police, they strive to establish safety within the families involved.
