In June 2024, Mathilde's lady-in-waiting, Countess Véronique de Limburg Stirum was appointed the new Director of "Demeures Historiques", a Belgian association of private owners of stately homes and gardens. Prince Lorenz formerly was Honorary President of Demeures Historiques.
To mark the occasion there was a ceremony at the château of Corroy-le-Château, owned by the marquis de Trazegnies.
During the festive period in December, court shared this video on instagram where we can see Mathilde making a tour as the royal palace is being decorated for Christmas.
