Princess Ingrid's 18th Birthday Gala

Queen Mathilde & Crown Princess Elisabeth (20) were among the guests at the gala for Princess Ingrid Alexandra's 18th birthday in Oslo, Norway.

It was the first time we saw the new generations of heirs (or heirs to the heir, in Ingrid's case) together at a gala. AND Elisabeth was wearing a (new!) tiara for the first time.

Elisabeth's gown was by Armani Privé. 

King Philippe wasn't there, as he was visiting the Belgian military detachment of NATO in Romania, deployed there since the start of the war in Ukraine.

Elisabeth was seated next to Ingrid half brother, Marius Borg Høiby and Prince Tassilo of Bulgaria.

Mathilde & Elisabeth's present for Ingrid were these earrings from Percossi Papi.

Prior to the gala new official pictures of Princess Ingrid had been published.

Ingrid's tiara was purchased by Prince Carl of Sweden for his wife, Princess Ingeborg of Denmark. It was made by Boucheron and first exposed at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1900 where Carl saw it. Prince Carl & Princess Ingeborg were the parents of Princess Märtha and Princess Astrid of Sweden, the respective great-grandmothers of Princess Ingrid and Crown Princess Elisabeth. 

Mathilde flew back to Belgium a day later, she arrived in Melsbroek on 18 June at 14:00. Elisabeth flew back to England where she'll be sitting for exams at Lincoln college next week.
