Queen Mathilde has handed out the annual award of the Foundation that bears her name, at the Royal Palace in Brussels.
This year's project call was "I See, Idea, I Do": initiatives by young people who want to tackle problems in their local community. The Mathilde Foundation wants to offer financial and professional support to these initiatives, and guide teenagers on their way to entrepreneurship.
Winner is Brake-Out, an organization that helps young adults with a mental impairment to find a job.
Before the ceremony took place, Mathilde had a meeting with members of the youth jury at the King Baudouin Foundation.Remise du Prix Reine Mathilde 2022 à l'asbl anversoise Brake-Out, un programme d'inclusion pour les jeunes avec un handicap cognitif // Antwerpse vzw Brake-Out ontvangt Koningin Mathildeprijs pic.twitter.com/47E4HriaXw
