Belgium observed a National Day of Mourning for those who lost their lives or were affected by the recent devastating weather conditions in our country, killing over 100 persons and leaving thousands homeless.
King Philippe & Queen Mathilde were present at the fire station of the zone Vesdre-Hoëgne & Plateau at Verviers, accompanied by PM De Croo, Minister of the Interior Annelies Verlinden, governor of Liège Hervé Jamar and some of the mayors of the many affected towns and cities.
The King & Queen talked to victims and their families, firemen, paramedics, civil protection officers and policemen.
