During 7 weeks we'll be able to see Queen Mathilde in the TV program "Merci voor de Muziek" on Eén.
The playful new program, presented by Bart Peeters & Nora Gharib is all about music. The Queen will be talking to children who play music at the royal palace.
An interesting way to also draw attention to Mathilde's Foundation that's been (financially) shouldering musical initiatives for children for a few years now.
The first episode is aired on Thursday 5 September 2019, at 20:40.

https://www.vrt.be/vrtnws/nl/2019/09/04/kinderen-bezoeken-koningin-mathilde-voor-merci-voor-de-muziek/ Bart Peeters & Nora Gharib explain how a new atmosphere seems to reign at court, with clever and also younger advisors for the royal couple. Gharib described Mathilde as beautiful, sweet and very funny.
It seems the current Director of communications at court has understood his job. Whereas interviews and TV appearances by Philippe & Mathilde used to be extremely rare, this has changed over the past two years.
There have been
interviews with Mathilde for Belgian TV concerning the French state visit,
the Queen Elisabeth Competition, and
the food at gala dinners. Mathilde was
interviewed by MO Magazine on her SDG work, she worked with
Télévie (RTL) when visiting a hospital, and
she's talked to VRT about her favourite books.
Recently she cooperated with German journalist Julia Melchior on
an excellent ZDF documentary.
Also the king, who is bound by his role and cannot give interviews, made a
surprise appearance alongside a popular comedian on his birthday, in a film released by Belgian court.
Even
Crown Princess Elisabeth has answered questions from journalists, in both French and Dutch when she accompanied Mathilde on a UNICEF voyage to Kenya.
Huzzah! :)
