On the 20th anniversay of her official engagement to Philippe, it was still business as usual for Queen Mathilde.
At the royal palace Mathilde hosted a round table discussion with the three laureates of the Federal Prize for Combating Poverty 2019: De Zuidpoort, ATD Fourth World Belgium and Le Babibar.
The theme of this year's award was "experienced experts". Inclusion and their personal involvement in the fight against poverty are key in the daily work of the laureates. This conversation fits in seamlessly with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations that have as a core idea: "leaving no one behind / excluding anyone", for which the Queen is a UN advocate.
