King Philippe & Queen Mathilde visited the Marie Curie Hospital in Lodelinsart.

     

They attended a meeting on the challenges posed by the pandemic, and on the vaccination strategy.

Corona & Pharmacies

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde visited Pharmacy "Pharma Haelvoet" in Evere (Brussels) to be informed about the active role pharmacists are playing in battling the Corona pandemic.

In Belgium pharmacists are being trained to help vaccinate the public.

Schwab Foundation: New Social Entrepreneurs

Queen Mathilde took part in a virtual meeting with awardees of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, who have developed sustainable solutions in the field of healthcare, education, vulnerable children, ecology, agriculture and climate. 

Mathilde is a board member of the Schwab Foundation.

Princess Mathilde visited "Les Godets", a daycare centre for handicapped adults in Houdeng-Aimeries. (Godet is the Walloon word for jonquille, daffodil.)

Afterwards there was a reception at the town hall of La Louvière where Crown Prince Philippe & Princess Mathilde also met with Franco Dragone, the founder of Cirque du Soleil.
