Opening of the Royal Palace + Prelude to the National Day 2022

One day to go to the National Day ... This means the King & Queen opened the Royal Palace to the public, who can come and visit untill the end of August.

This year there are also two small exhibitions to be discovered.

In the evening, King Philippe & Queen Mathilde attended the traditional concert at Bozar.

They were joined by Princess Astrid & Prince Lorenz.

Cassiopée

Queen Mathilde visited the summer camp of the Cassiopée group of the Guides Catholiques in Lavaux-Sainte-Anne. 

This scouting group consists of young girls between the ages of 11 to 15. Some of them have a handicap.

This year they set out to have a garbage free camp.

One Year after the Floods

One year after the devastating floods, King Philippe & Queen Mathilde returned to the ravaged areas.

They talked to shopkeepers, inhabitants and relief workers in Limbourg.

Afterwards they attended a ceremony of remembrance in Chênée.
