Queen Mathilde Award 2017

4 May 2017

Mathilde handed out the Queen Mathilde Award 2017 at the royal palace in Brussels. This year's theme was "Music Connects".

First she met with representatives of the various projects who applied for the award, and with members of the youth jury, at the King Baudouin Foundation. They are pupils of the Lemmensinstitute (Leuven) and the Institut Provincial Technique of Court-Saint-Etienne.

Winner is 'Watermusic' from Ostend, for their project 'Crossing Music' which brings children of various nationalities together to make music.

Clotilde Boël acted as lady-in-waiting.
