Visit to Limburg

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde visited the province of Limburg. They were accompanied by Clotilde Boël.

On the program:

- A meeting with young entrepreneurs at "Corda Campus" (Hasselt).

- A visit to holiday home "Queen Fabiola" for children with special needs (Maasmechelen) and to National Park "De Hoge Kempen" (Eisden).

The visit concluded with a reception at the Maasmechelen city hall.

KBS Gala Night in Ghent

Queen Mathilde & King Philippe attended a gala evening of the King Baudouin Foundation at Vooruit in Ghent.

Missing Persons

Queen Mathilde was present at a meeting for the 20th anniversary of the Federal Police's Missing Persons Unit.

She also spoke to the parents of missing children.

Melissa Maas was the lady-in-waiting on duty.

Queen Mathilde is the honorary chair of "Child Focus" that works together closely with this police department.

WHO: National Immunization Programme

Queen Mathilde was at the University of Antwerp for a WHO meeting of vaccination experts.

Patricia Vlerick acted as lady-in-waiting.

Back to School 2015

King Philippe accompanied his children Elisabeth, Gabriel and Eléonore to the Sint-Jan Berchmans College in Brussels.

Crown Princess Elisabeth (13) is in the third year of secundary school. Her brother Gabriel (12) starts in the first year of secundary school, studying Latin.

Princess Eléonore (7) starts in the second year of primary school.

Queen Mathilde accompanied Prince Emmanuel (9) to the Eureka school in Kessel-Lo, a special school for normal to highly gifted pupils with a learning disorder. According to press speculation Emmanuel is dyslexic. He's in the fifth year of primary school.

Swiss Holidays & Remembering Astrid

After having spent several weeks in France, Mathilde & her family travelled to Switzerland. They are staying in Geneva.

Today Prince Gabriel (12) accompanied his father, King Philippe to the official remembrance ceremony of Queen Astrid's death, 80 years ago in Küssnacht, Switzerland.

Queen Astrid was Philippe's Swedish born grandmother and Gabriel's great grandmother.

Mathilde, Philippe and their 4 children were spotted in Bourg-en-Bresse (Ain / Rhône-Alpes) where they visited the Royal Brou Monastery.

They were accompanied by a nanny and stayed at the local Hôtel Mercure. 

A few days later Mathilde & Philippe were spotted at nearby Vonnas, where they dined at George Blanc's restaurant.

After having spent a few weeks on the Ile d'Yeu, the royal family continues their French holidays in Poitiers.

They were seen visiting the attraction park "Futuroscope" where they were given a tour by the director.
