Visit to Hainaut

The visit to the Province of Hainaut started at the Carrières du Hainaut stone quarrey in Soignies. The King & Queen wished to be informed about the way the biodiversity is maintained and upgraded in the quarry.

Then King Philippe & Queen Mathilde visited Le Quinquet, a job centre for people who wish to learn a new profession. Courses in plumbing, gardening, cooking and cleaning are offered to adults who also get help to find their way to the job market.

The visit ended with a reception in La Louvière where the Royal Couple also took the time to greet the population.
