Queen Mathilde had a video conversation with Najat M'jid, Representative of the UN Secretary General on Violence Against Children and Benoit Van Keirsbilck, member of the UN Children's Rights Committee.
They discussed the report 'Hidden scars: how violence harms the mental health of children' and the effects the pandemic has on children's rights. In the afternoon Mathilde had a second activity planned. As SDG advocate she took part in a virtual debate on the implementation of the SDGs by Belgian private firms and the public sector.
Then she visited pharma lab Tilman in Baillonville that hosted the debate.
Mathilde must have hurt her thumb, she was wearing a brace around her hand. Court only commented it was nothing serious.
