Informal Summit of German Speaking Countries 2021

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde took part in the annual informal meeting of Germanophonic countries. This year's host was President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The participants met each other in Potsdam, Germany.

Elisabeth's Year at the Military Academy
These are the classes Elisabeth is taking at the Royal Military Academy:
First term: ethics, sociology, critical thinking, maths, IT, German.
Second term: military psychology, academic achievements, military history, research methods, IT management, electricity, German.
Every week there's at least 5 hours of sports.
The students have one night off and return home for the weekend on Friday afternoon.
Like the others, the Duchess of Brabant is a boarder at the school. Whereas the custom is to share dorms, this year the students each have a room to themselves because of Covid restrictions.
Special dates during the year:
8 October 2020: A ceremony at the Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels marks the official opening of the school year. It is attended by King Philippe & Queen Mathilde and King Albert II & Queen Paola.
February 2021: Two weeks of winter camp at Elsenborn.
April 2021: Ball (Cancelled because of COVID)
from 9 July 2021: Three week military summer camp at Lagland base in Arlon.
21 July 2021: Elisabeth takes part in the military parade on the National Day.
30 July 2021: The end of the Crown Princess's year at the Royal Military Academy.
