Queen Mathilde & King Philippe had a virtual exchange with a number of Belgian women on the occasion of International Women's Day.
They talked to:
- Marie du Chastel, Curator of KIKK Festival Namur
- Scientist Cleo Goyvaerts
- Jamila Louahed, Head of Reasearch at GSK Vaccines
- Hylke Vandenbussche, Professor Economics at KU Leuven University.
Queen Mathilde also prepared for the UN Summit on Food & Agriculture later this year in New York, by meeting virtually with:
- UN World Food Programme Chief, David Beasley
- UN Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty & Human Rights, Olivier De Schutter
- UN Administrator Achim Steiner.
