As protector of the Reading Aloud Week, Queen Mathilde was supposed to visit primary school Zonnedorp in Aarschot to read stories.
As this was impossible because of the current lockdown measures, Mathilde read to the children via a video call from the Castle of Laeken.
She read the stories "Het Vuurvliegje" by Toon Tellegen and "De walvissen die licht gaven", written by Kamiel De Bruyne.
