Queen Mathilde, accompanied by Child Focus director Heidi De Pauw, made a visit to Minor Ndako in Anderlecht (Brussels).
At Minor Ndako young people without any family or support network are being prepared to stand on their own feet and live independently once they are 18.
Most of these young people are refugees, victims of war from Syria and Afghanistan.
The Belgian royal family continued their promotion of Belgian tourism for a second day in a row.
Mathilde & Philippe, Elisabeth (18), Gabriel (16), Emmanuel (14) and Eléonore (12) were in Mathilde's beautiful home province of Luxembourg where they made a walk in the Ardennes.
They went from the gorgeous panorama of Le Tombeau du Géant in Botassart to the banks of the river Semois, some 4 kilometers further and they visited the abbey of Clairefontaine in Bouillon.
Former King Albert II & former Queen Paola accompanied them at the photo shoot.
King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and the 4 children, Crown Princess Elisabeth (18), Prince Gabriel (16), Prince Emmanuel (14) and Princess Eléonore (12) made a visit to Bokrijk today, combining a promo for Belgian tourism with their annual family photo shoot.
They started off by visiting the open air heritage museum.
The family then went for a 20 kilometer bike ride where Gabriel & Emmanuel resolutely took the lead, followed by their sisters ... leaving the parents far behind!
They stopped for refreshments at camping site Holsteenbron in Zonhoven.
