Corona: World Bank & University Professor

Early in the morning, Queen Mathilde had a digital conversation with VUB professor Elke Van Hoof on the social and psychological consequences of the corona pandemic and the confinement.
A day earlier the World Bank's vice president Annette Dixon had had a video conference with Queen Mathilde on the World Bank's COVID-19 response. They had discussed how to best protect people in terms of access to services, learning outcomes, gender, mental health, and vulnerable populations.
Mathilde is a member of the informal group of global leaders who support the World Bank's Human Capital Agenda.

Corona: Plant Nusery
28 May 2020
Queen Mathilde made a visit to plant nursery Gediflora in Oostnieuwkerke. She was shown around the premises by the female business leader, who's also won the award "female entrepreneur of the year". They discussed how the covid-19 pandemic has affected her business.
Other female owners of plant nurseries were invited to a discussion afterwards.
Even though a mouth cap isn't obliged in Belgium (yet), Mathilde chose to set the example by wearing one, in a matching tone to her outfit.
