As patron, Queen Mathilde attended the majority of the sessions of this world renowned classical music competition.

Mathilde watched the concerts of Mio Yoshie and Meruert Karmenova.



Archduchess Anna Gabriele von Habsburg and the Prince d'Arenberg were also in the audience.

They watched the final sessions of American Luke Hsu and Belgian Sylvia Huang.

The King & Queen offered a lunch at the royal palace to the jury members of the Competition.




Prince Laurent & Princess Astrid were also present.







In the evening King Philippe & Prince Emmanuel (13) watched the performances of American Stephen Kim and South Korean Ji Won Song.

Queen Mathilde and Princess Eléonore (11) watched Japanese Seiji Okamoto play.










After the break Belgium's youngest Princess left and Queen Mathilde came back alone to watch Ioana Cristina Goicea play.


Thursday 24 May 2019 

Queen Mathilde was accompanied by Princess Margaretha of Luxembourg to watch the final concerts of Hungarian Julia Pusker and Japanese Yukiko Uno.






Saturday 25 May 2019

Queen Mathilde and Prince Gabriel (15) were accompanied by Duchess Marie von Württemberg and her daughter, Duchess Amélie von Württemberg, who is herself a professional violinist, for the final evening of the competition.




They watched the performances of American Shannon Lee and Ukranian Eva Rabchevska.


At the end of the evening, the winner was aanounced: American Stella Chen.
