Informal Summit of German Speaking Countries 2017

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde took part in the annual Informal Meeting of Heads of State of German Speaking Nations.

This year the meeting was held at the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Mathilde took part in the spouses' program, which included lunch and a visit to the Philharmonic.

She was accompanied by her usual German interpreter.

In the afternoon all the guests visited the Mudam Museum.

Queen Mathilde had a meeting with Benin's first lady, Claudine Talon, at the castle of Laeken.

They mainly discussed the SDG's.

Visit to Namur

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde visited Bébé Bus in Sombreffe, a mobile child care unit.

Patricia Vlerick acted as lady-in-waiting.

In Namur the King & Queen got acquainted with start-up hub TRAKK.

 

Finally they stopped at the Asty-Moulin technical school.

The Royal Couple and their children took part privately in the Car Free Sunday in Brussels.

They made a stop at the Musée des Egouts (sewage museum) for a tour.
