Wedding: Caroline de Lannoy & Henry de Spoelberch

A noble wedding took place in Frasnes-lez-Anvaing, where Countess Caroline de Lannoy (°2001) got married to Henry de Spoelberch (°1999).

The bride is the eldest daughter of Count Jehan de Lannoy, (and thus a niece of Princess Stéphanie of Luxembourg) & his Belgian-American wife, Beatrice Spates. Caroline has 3 younger siblings: Louise, Antoine and Maxime. She's the first to get married.

The groom is a member of the very wealthy Spoelberch family who've made a fortune with AB Inbev breweries. 

Among the guests was Crown Princess Elisabeth, who's the same age as the bride.

Elisabeth and Caroline are very close friends, who've known each other since they were little girls.

Elisabeth & her second cousin, Princess Charlotte de Nassau, daughter of Prince Guillaume & Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg. 

Caroline was wearing the de Lannoy family tiara.

Elisabeth was wearing her Victoria Beckham dress and Emily London headpiece, combined with a pair of Sézane earrings and a DVF clutch, both belonging to Mathilde.

When leaving the church she was accompanied by Count Rodolphe d'Yve de Bavay. The two of them didn't know each other beforehand, they were paired by the MC to walk in the cortège together, as they were both attending the wedding without a partner. The usual procedure at a good old Belgian wedding, but of course these images created quite a buzz. Media talked of nothing else for days.

After the wedding mass, the celebrations went on at the Castle of Anvaing which belongs to the de Lannoy family.

It was a real bucolic lighthearted celebration, with the guests being transported with the town's local carnival float!
