Jewels: Paola's Gold Braclets

Since early 2023 Mathilde has been wearing a gold bangle bracelet with red coloured stones at the ends. 

We also saw Princess Claire with the same bracelet (here in 2022), only hers has green stones.

Both were gifts from Paola. They aren't new but used to be worn by the former Queen, as you can see in this picture from 2006.

King Albert II, Queen Paola, Crown Prince Philippe & Princess Mathilde hosted an opening reception for the participants in the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) parliamentary assembly at the Castle of Laeken.

Patronage: Fondation contre le cancer

Queen Mathilde visited Camp Tournesol in Malmedy, a summer camp for children who are receiving cancer treatment. 

Another guest was Vincent Vanasch, goalkeeper of the Belgian hockey team.

The camp has been organized each summer since 1989 by Fondation contre le cancer/Stichting tegen kanker, a new patronage of Mathilde's since 2024.

It was Princess Elisabeth's (4) first official participation in the National Day ceremonies. She attended the Te Deum with her parents.
