Apparently tennis is one of Eléonore's hobbies. At the end of May she participated in a junior tennis tournament in Vienna, Austria. She doubled with a school friend from the International School of Brussels.

Photographer Lieve Blancquaert shared a memory about Princess Elisabeth in De Standaard :
"I once had an audience with queen Mathilde. Princess Elisabeth was still a little girl. Behind Mathilde's back she was eating all the slices of cake, and a few moments later she was lying under the sofa in her princess dress, legs wide, digesting all the cake. I loved it. Every time I get to see a photo of her now as 'the crown princess', I think about the little, free girl she was back then."
