King Philippe & Queen Mathilde attended the award ceremony of the King Baudouin Foundation's "Africa Prize".

Winner is "Her Initiative" from Tanzania, an organisation that stimulates the financial emancipation of women, wants to stimulate youth employment and enhance the development of Sub Saharan Africa.

Leuven Brain Institute

As SDG advocate, Queen Mathilde visited the Leuven Brain Institute that unites all neuroscience research at KU Leuven, UZ Leuven and UPC Leuven.

Mathilde was guided round by Head Of the Department of geriatric psychiatry UPC KU Leuven, Prof. dr. Mathieu Vandenbulcke. 

In Herent Mathilde met patients & nursing staff of the "oud reach team", a mobile team of mental health workers that makes home visits to elderly people with psychiatric disorders.

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde visited the OCMW (Public Centre for Social Welfare) in Genk. They took part in a round table on the poverty the OCMW clients face.

King Philippe was accompanied by three of his children, Prince Gabriel (20), Prince Emmanuel (18) and Princess Eléonore (16) when he watched the Red Devils take on Romania in Köln, Germany.

Belgium won 2-0!

Father & children greeted the Devils afterwards.
