KBS gala night: West-Flanders

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde attended a gala evening of the West-Flanders branch of the King Baudouin Foundation: a concert of the Home Made Jong Promenade in Jabbeke.

Horizons Neufs

Queen Mathilde visited Horizons Neufs, a care home in Louvain-la-Neuve for mentally disabled persons.

Visit to Luxembourg

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde made a visit to the province of Luxembourg.

Lindsay Edwards acted as lady-in-waiting.

They visited the inter generational centre "L'auberge du Vivier" in Habay-La-Neuve.

Afterwards they were given a tour at Galaxia in Transinne, a business park dedicated to space applications.

The visit was concluded with a reception at the town hall of Libin.

Memorial Van Damme 2016

King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and their children attended the 40th edition of athletics tournament "Memorial Van Damme" at the Roi Baudouin Stadium in Brussels. They were joined by Prince Albert II of Monaco.

They congratulated the Belgian female team who were awarded the gold olympic medal for their 4x100 metres run 8 years ago at the Beijing Olympics  - after the Russian team had been disqualified for doping a few weeks ago. 

They also congratulated Nafi Thiam with her gold medal at the high jump.
