Eléonore Changes Schools

On 1 September 2023, Princess Eléonore (15) will be starting the schoolyear at a new school: the International School of Brussels, the private english speaking school that both her older brothers have also attended.

She won't be crossing the threshold on her own, as her brother Emmanuel (17) will be heading back there as well, to start his final year of secondary school. Eléonore will start in the 4th year of secondary school.

This means all of Philippe & Mathilde's children will have followed a part of their secondary education in English, even though only Elisabeth has been the more adventurous one, actually moving abroad to Wales before she was 18.

So far Eléonore has had her complete formation in Dutch: first at the Sint Jan Berchmans College of Brussels and later at the Heilig Hart School of Wezembeek-Oppem. The Princess is no doubt fluent in English, like every other Belgian teenager. At home she speaks French.
