Private: A Funeral

King Philippe & Queen Mathilde were private guests at a funeral in Nederbrakel.

Their children's nanny has lost her mother. Both the nanny & her mother are originary from Brakel.

The Royal Couple's presence had been kept secret by the local authorities, who did manage to offer a gift to King Philippe on his way out: a stack of books on the town's local history.
