Prince Philippe & Princess Mathilde visited the towns Gooik and Herne.
The provincial visit ended with a stop at community center De Clam where the mayors of the neighbouring towns had gathered to meet the princely couple.
Among the guests at the reception were Mathilde's uncle, Count Raoul d'Udekem and his wife, Françoise de Maere d'Aertrycke, inhabitants of Herne. The count told a local reporter that they'd been able to have a short chat with their niece at the reception. He added that Mathilde is frequently in touch with one of his daughters and that via her she knew about everything that had been going on in his family, like a bad fall he'd made at the beginning of the year.
