According to arecoa.com, Philippe, Mathilde and their 4 children celebrated new year's eve at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic where they were staying at the holiday home of a Belgian friend.
They arrived on 30 December 2016 and left a few days later.
Mathilde & Philippe were spotted at the informal reception hosted by their friend's neighbour, where they were seen chatting to Henry Kissinger.
Another guest on the island was Bill Clinton - without his wife Hillary who was suffering from a bad cold.
Afterwards they went on to New York, where King Philippe visited the NY Stock Exchange (4 January 2017).
