King Boudewijn Prize 2017

King Philippe, queen Mathilde and princess Astrid were present at the royal palace for the award ceremony of the King Baudouin Prize for African Development.

On the third row: Mathilde's former advisor, Anick Van Calster who now works for foreign affairs.

Prior to the award ceremony, the king and queen granted an audience to the laureates: BarefootLaw from Uganda, Farmerline from Ghana and Kytabu from Kenya.

Federal Award for Fighting Poverty 2017

Queen Mathilde was present at the award ceremony of the Federal Award for Fighting Poverty, at CeMÔME in Saint-Gilles (Brussels).

This year the award focused on single parents and on the profesional reintegration of long time unemployed persons.
